Hi Steve,

I think the cable loads are carried now by the seat front and its reinforcements.  The rear channel is a bit wimpy.

But your idea is still good.  As long as the new 1 1/4 tube bears on the flaperon bellcrank, then the loads will still be pulling on the torque tube and the cable loads will still be on the seat front. A little downside might be that the single bolt thru the flaperon bellcrank will also see all of the cable loads.  This probably would need to be considered.

That said, the main reason I chose my approach is I can't weld and didn't want to farm it out to a weld shop (kind of want to do most things myself).

Why not just weld the triangular bellcrank support on a piece of 1 1/4 .058 and slide it over the  1 1/8 torque tube? Avoid all the cuts..  The 1 1/4 would be long enough to bear on the rear channel to carry the cable tension loads.
