Tom,

Glad to be of assistance.  Jabiru has been really great to work with.

Bob,

Thanks for the idea.  My friend and fellow builder, Bill McWethy used a similar set up, as you suggest for some mounts he made.

What I had in mind was using a similar concept (mounting board) but located above and behind the pilots head "inside" the cockpit, below the skylight lexan. Internal protection from elements, engine and vibration but with a clear view of the sky. Unless your in better shape than me no one looks directly up and behind their head anyway. If your antennas give trouble its worth considering.

Thomas and Ian,

Jabiru has manufactured the part to specifically fit the engine and scat tubing.  I is basically a stainless cylinder, the size of the tubing and has a + shaped set of vanes built in.  I think it cost me $40 bucks, but it is far more elegant than the old method and hopefully much better.

Bob,

Some how, I deleted your comment??  Yes, the heat and vibration may be an issue, but how much more drag can a 750 take?:)  I'll keep and eye on the antenna's, lots of guys have done what I did, but no one has a lot of hours on any of these machines.

OK. I have not seen one of those. Do you have a picture or other info?

Ian,

Yes, I knew about the issue, but had the Jabiru USA staff provide a new "flow inlet" that solves the problem.  It is a manufactured part and is much better than the old method of gluing a metal "vane" in the scat hose.

Hi Edward.

Looks good. You may have to revise the scat hose that is connecting the bing carburettor to the filter. Thgere are posts on this site about this subject. The Bing carb needs a smooth inlet airflow.
