Well yes, I have indeed personally proven that a 601 will fall out of the sky at 750 speeds, but that is another story…
But I can fly my 601 with the Jabiru 3300 spinning at 1900 RPM and burning about 2.7 GPH. And with low burn my 601 is zipping along at 75-80 MPH.
Both the 601 and the 750 are great airplanes, each with its own mission but with significant overlap.

..however it's better that they like the gas and run than not like and stall ;)
Cessnas and other good ol' planes burn 30 liters of avgas per hour. It's about $3.50 a liter here, $100 an hour for just gas.
