Interesting idea with the springs.
I am going to use nylon plates on the nose gear stops. So the steel pins will ride on nylon instead of alum.
If this still drags to much, will probably try this sprung steering idea.

Well, I had seen this on another one CH701 and the idea was that moving the nose wheel on the ground doesn't require too much pressure but, while flying, it is another story. While on the ground, the nose wheel tube rests against the stop and you need a lot more force to move the rudder/nose wheel. So, by adding the springs you can move the rudder to the extent of the spring lenght with minimal force while flying.
