Elevator Pivot Independent From Torque Tube
This picture and the next show the torque tube rotating with the elevator pivot remaining fixed. And is shows the bracket that now keeps pivot from moving (There's no real force, just the friction from the sleeves I added.) My previous picture post shows internals/additions/cuts. I also added rod ends to the Elevator tube to accommodate the new angular motion between the stick and the elevator crank.

I see electrical wires in your plane. I have none. I think you're in the lead - but I know its not a race.
Your approach looks fine. The loads are shared by the seatback and don't all fall on the rear channel. And it looks like your bellcrank is in the exact original position. I wouldn't change it.
I have my Jabiru 2200 engine mount on the firewall, but I haven't ordered the engine yet. I'll do it at the beginning of next year. I'm "borrowing" the money from an IRA and I want to push the taxes to the following year. Had to convince my wife the plane is an investment that will always be worth what I paid for parts. :)

This is a very innovative solution for fixing the elevator bell crank. Now I have to reconsider the direction I was going (see pic). You are just a few weeks ahead of my build. After reading your posts, I opened my seat pans and voila, precut just like you said. Yeah!
