This view of the right side shows 5 #8 screws and riv-nuts on the longer piece. The shorter piece is riveted to the longer section and then the forward edge of the assembly is riveted to the dorsal fin. Inspection of the mounting brackets is easy by removing the 5 screws and moving the secured fairing outboard from the rear.
