Easy Nose Gear Bungee Install
The easy way to install nose gear bungee. Use a 1/2" ratchet handle, put the socket end in the short tube you want the bungee to fit onto. Slide the bungee over the handle of the ratchet...lift up with the socket end rotating in the short tube on the gear leg. Once above the gear leg short tube hieght the bungee slides effortlessly down the ratchet handle and onto the short tube. The ratchet handle is then removed from the short tube. Great for installs were the engine is close to the firewall.

I have been know to speed things up with a knife and cut the offending bungee off. You still need to unbolt the lower gear tube support bracket to slide the bungee around the nose gear fork and around the back of the gear tube. Check out my pictures to see how I use a ATV jack to lift the front of my CH601HD to do this job.
