Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
During my test flying, I noted increased stiffness maybe slight (binding?) when using full flaps and full flaperon control deflections which were not evident on the ground. Based on what I have read on the forum, this was not a new "problem" . My fix was to cut bushings slightly longer than the original. Shorter bushing in pic is the original. Also, I then required a longer bolt (AN5-12A). Did a test flight today and resolved the annoyance. The slightly longer bushing gives clearance to the vertical control rod lower rod end bearing from the control rods bellcrank.
