I recently connected a Ray Allen position sensor to the flap arm to provide flaps position on my Dynon SkyView EFIS.

Hi Mack, actually I drilled two and yes, very much trial error to calibrate. The first hole I drilled is slightly above the hole I used and was based upon mocking up the position sensor on a support made out of folded cardboard. After I had it mounted on the fabricated .032 aluminum support I was concerned I would be taking the sensor movement range to the max so I moved the hole down slightly.

Dave, I notice that you drilled three holes in the arm. I'[m assuming this was a trial/error move to calibrate?

Can you shed any light on your calibration methods?
