CH701sp - Viking Steel Bungee replacement
This is a photo of the Viking Steel Bungee replacement in working order - nosewheel on the ground. For mine, the middle nut was almost screewed all the way in. The side straps long nuts are screwed in so that when the nose wheel is off the ground, the horizontal tube(bottom) slightly touches the U channel side supports.

Hi Norm,
A friend suggested me using a stack of polyurethane 'donuts with small hole in the middle' in place of the coil spring ( approx. size each 4 cm.dia. and 2 cm. thick). They work smoother than the spring.

Hi Eddie, mine sits only about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch higher than the V block...Almost touches it. Yours should work as well !
