Removal of the floats and change over to wheel gear took less than 2 hrs. Proper installtion, with thought given to seasonal change over and quick connect fittings really simplifies the process. The float kit supplies raw material for the rigging..you paint and cut / fabricate it to fit each installation. A short length of 2X2 in the nose keeps the front gear locked down with the hydraulics disconnected. Moving the floats around in the hangar is a breeze.

Mark.... don't you have a set of wheel penetration ski plans? They are free !
I was wondering what you would be doing for winter! :D Did you ever get a chance to try the floats on the water? How did they handle?
The electric pump has a by-pass relief valve that should prevent any damage... since its only for ease of movement around the hangar I'll throw some timber scaler flagging tape on the 2X2 for good measure. When installed the floats do not have the "wooden hydraulics" installed :>)
