Hello Adel,
I am building from plans since 2001, My old plans (dated year 2000) have the front attachment brackets, 7H2-6, as .040" 6061-T6 material. I know 3 people who have had cracks around the bolt holes of these older size brackets. Newer kits and plans call for .063" 6061-T6 material. so I have modified mine to the newer specification. If you have newer plans your 7H2-6 brackets should be .063". I have just changed mine to be 'up to date' with a stronger bracket. For corrosion protection i paint the parts with Zinc Cromate etch primer, then before i join the parts i use a Zinc jointing compound, it is a sticky yellow paste called Mastinox. I also paint and treat the rivets. In England it is always raining and wet so i need the extra protection.
