Yes they are LED, they are AeroLeds. I have only made one night flight and they worked great. But I would like to point out that I have three lights, the thred one in on the nose wheel. It is a Sunray plus, I chose it for its narrow beam, it lights up the runway on final very well. I did set them up for all three for steady light during night landings but only the wing light to come on for wig-wag or pulse for daytime recognition. They are very bright and very nice.

LED lights in the slats? how are they? I am thinking about putting a set in mine when i get on to building the slats next. Are they set up as "wig-Wag"? Are they nice and clear bright lights?
