Can relate - I also watched a guy at FedEx Freight try to forklift my wing crate the LONG WAY... it's like, DOH, DUDE!!! Zenith even puts "blocks" on one side specifically for forklift access SIDEWAYS. Gotta keep an eye on those shippers!!!

I can share the frustration. My 701 came in three crates over a period of three years (I'm a slow builder!!) All three crates were damaged by forklifts. One crate even had a fork extension still firmly lodged in the bottom of the crate when it arrived at my house!! Fortunately only minor damage to contents.

I had some damaged sheets and what I did was lay it on a hard flat surface with the damaged side up, apply some engine oil on the damaged area and rub with a bit of downward pressure the damaged area using the back of a large serving spoon until the damage is smoothed out.

Commenting on my photo here. I will call zenith to confirm but feel this can be worked out. Damage from FedEx fork penetration on the bottom of the crate. Be sure to check bottom of your shipments,
