It's hard to tell from your picture, but did you incorporate any method to keep each seat's 2 shoulder harness attachments from sliding apart on the transverse tube? If not, and if they slid too far apart, your shoulders could slip through as the body flexes forward in a sudden deceleration. That's why I went with an inverted Y shoulder belt. There's only one attachment per seat, so of course the 2 shoulder belts per seat are tied together. It also has the added benefit of tending to "cinch you in" as you are thrown forward, making it almost impossible for the shoulders to slip out.
I guess you could tether each pair of belts together so the attachments can't slide apart, install foam sleeves to act as spacers between the belt attachment positions, or, change out to an inverted Y harness.
