Bumpy Day!
Flew over to the North end of Moosehead Lake near Mt Kineo to a lodge known as The Birches. A fellow flyer owns the place and grooms a nice runway on the ice/snow in front of the lodge. Relatively warm day, but strong and gusty winds (peak of 20 knots) for most of the flight.

Hi Perry, I think Greenville or Jackman are just about perfect areas to retire in...too bad my wife thinks otherwise ;) Guess, I'll be content with having an airplane and doing "excursions" ...

I travelled past the lake many times, and believe I stayed in Greenville on a couple of occasions travelling to Jackman when I was marking and buying utility pole grade red pine from Scott Paper.
