Thanks AG Siler and Normand. The shroud is carbon fiber and weighs a little more than a pound, extremely strong (you could stand on it). Its entirely removable for easy maint access to avionics and flight controls. I'm trying for the simple panel look and feel, that gives my not so much yet "Aviator" Wife, the confidence of a more conventional feel (like a car) in the cockpit. I sure enjoy building this airplane. I love the Zeniths!
