Hi Andre! Being that I'm building from the basic kit, yes, there's lots of measuring and cutting. I chose the basic over the pre-drilled kit as I'm now retired and have more time than money......so I hope to use the monsy saved by doing the drilling and cutting required in the basic kit over the pre-drilled kit for other parts of the plane, i.e. avionics or engine. I'd guess it's about 4-6 weeks additional construction time for the basic kit over pre-drilled, but hey, it's fun! I'm enjoying the project. Thanks for the complimentary comments!
