Turning in under the photo plane, it looks close but we were actually pretty far apart.

Good evening Paul. Thanks for ten nice comments. The shoulder harness is secured to the rear spar carry through. I installed a doubler to reinforce it where I drilled the hole for the bolt.
I made th nose bowl/ cowling myself with the help of a friend. pretty tough job!
I installed both EGT and CHT just for the information. I knew I would have all sorts of issues and therefore wanted all the information I could get.
I lean with the EGT, I developed a fat fin cht mod for the heads which allowed me to climb at full power indefinitely with the cht at 300 or less.
My entire firewall forward setup is for sale, the crankcase cracked on the way to Oshkosh and I am unwilling to spend anymore money and risk my life further. If you are interested in any of it let me know.

I looked at most of your postings on the Zenair builders group.  Nice looking plane.  I have a couple of questions.

How did you secure your shoulder harness’s.  Having had an engine out on takeoff once they are an absolute must for me.

Where did you get the nose bowl for the VW?

I have limited VW experience so pardon my ignorance.  The CH701 I bought came with an assembled GPAS 2160 w/ redrive and I’m learning.  Why both CHT and EGT?  Is it just for maximum information?  Which do you lean with?
