Christopher Browne's Zenith CH 750 STOL in its natural environment. We were able to scratch out an 800 foot strip at our new high Sierra back country strip this week, elevation 4,500 ft, and he couldn't wait, he had to go and be the first to land in some tough mountain winds in the afternoon. Greased it in in about 400-500 ft, would make all Zenith STOL builders proud. The Maule wants us to trim some more bushes :)

And we can't forget the 701 STOL. The airport manager for Kern Valley airport had to sneak out and land a 701 he built at the strip. So far, only Zeniths have landed at the 800 ft strip, The week end I even cut down some shrubs at the end to entice a Maule buddy to land, we'll see.
Fortunately or unfortunately come spring we will have 1,800 ft for the posers to land their aircraft also.
