Light weight tie down for LSA - Commercial tie downs are overkill for LSA and are too heavy (9-10 pounds!) and expensive. This design uses 2" x 2" x 3/16 AL angle x 12" long. 8" long gutter nails are light and strong. Three of these tiedowns with 1/2" braided rope weighs only 4.8 lbs. Materials cost about $79.00
Pull testing of this design when the ground thaws. Happy flying!

Using 1/8" thick angle seems to be strong enough and saves some additional cost and weight. LZ
