Even though I was using the correct #2 Phillips bit, one of the screw slots stripped when going through the nut plate. I replaced the screws with stainless button head cap screws and a nylon washer. Now rugged and easy to adjust with a 1/8"allen wrench. LZ

Great idea with the button screws... I had the same problem with the Zen Aero landing light LED's in my slats.  Phillips screws just plain SUCK!!!  I replaced them with good old Canadian Robertson screws.

Larry, I ran into the same issue a few months ago.  It seems the nut plates create too much resistance for the aluminum screws provided in the kit.  I also replaced with a stainless steel version.
