Struggled to fit the 650 fiberglass tip into the nose radius for two weeks. I just could not push the tip fully into the radius. Made a 2x4 brace clamped to the rear spar to push this into place.

Hi Marty, Thanks for your comment, I thought having problems with the tip fitting was just me! I trimmed 10 mm from the nose skin at the bend, and about 4 mm at the third rivet hole to make a smooth arc. LZ
Nice. I have also been struggling with those fiberglass tips. Same issue. Unable to get the nose to fit without a gap. I finally cut the fiberglass tip at the spar and was able to fit the nose in with "moderate" persuasion. Will finish the tip "XL" style with aluminum sheet.
