The CH601HD cockpit is cozy on a cold fall day in Canada. I had flown to Carleton Place to have Rotax 912 mechanic Randy Shipclark install new carb. diaphrams, needles and jets. The carbs have not been touched since 2005 so it was time for some TLC.

Bob,

I have a friend who built his 601 HD in 98 and has a very similar paint job. He flew over my house every nice weather day for years keeping me motivated  building my 701, and it worked! He came over to my hangar this summer to balance his carbs on his 912 and he had those old very flexible carb diaphrams that we had to replace. He has over 1400 hours on it now!
