I used 3/4" foam with the foil facing inside the plane .then use spray contact cement on the foil and back of the carpet. All materials are from The Home Depot. It takes a lot of time to fit it but it comes out great. It doesn't add much weight. I also added 1/8" plywood to the front floor. The carpet is very thin and only comes in grey,6'x 9' pieces

I really like the look of the interior when it is carpeted. The sound deadening affect is worthwhile too. I will do the same...
