Beautiful country!
Glad you were able to enjoy the eclipse from God's country and the brewsky.
Come back again,
Mack
I don't have much experience with soft fields. When off-pavement I find most fields here in the west are rough with rocks and ruts. My biggest worry is protecting the nose gear. For that, there is not much to do except keep the stick back when rolling to keep the load off. To minimize time on the ground I use full-flaps on landing. On takeoff I use flap deflection equal to full aileron deflection. In fact that is what I do on all takeoffs to minimize time on the runway, even if paved. Makes life more interesting.
