Those are the hidden costs of owning a plane !!   Tie-downs, Hangar fees or build your own. I prefer the build your own as well  -:)

Hi Bob,

 

I put my CH701, on floats, on a custom made flat bed trailor with no problem. I also made the hangar big enough to put a super cub on amphib floats at the same time. I'll try to find a picture with both planes in there.The ceiling is about 12 '. The Bi-Fold door is the one sold by the company from Wisconsin...it works well. I covered it with steel sheeting and insulated it with 2" styrofoam.

I am "drooling".... great hangar. Is it high enough to put your CH701 on floats inside?

Salut Brad,

Super beau garage !! Lucky to be so close to water...-:)  I have a small log cabin on a lake but I won't be able to leave my plane there because i don't live there all year long. You have a very nice spot my friend.

Floor heating is very economical and efficient for a hangar. You did a fantastic job....enjoy !

And a superb place for BBQ's and partys....LOL
