Hi Kostas,
Thanks for the comment. I have the Zenith manual and it states that the wing bottom should sit at 8 degrees in reference to the float top. That's where my CH701 sits now. If you have a newer edition, could you scan this part so I can take a look. My CH701 sits higher than if it were on the old type spring gear, you can go to Orizon-ulm and check their 701s, they all do. A couple of guys in Alaska also fly this way and haven't reported any problem so far. I do agree that if the airplane sits higher, there is a greater potential for problems in rough water.
