Phil be careful where you route the charging output wire from the engine...not near the radios or into a homemade power panel without the electronic noise filters that come on the Composite Electrical panel. Nothing but grief if you do that.. route the engine output (charging) directly to the battery on the engine side of the firewall away from radios and your "noise" will go away.

Question about radio stack. The radio is an old RST handbuilt radio that I had sitting in the shop. Saw no need for an expensive set up just to talk to CTAF. Remember the project was for a low and slow airplane with "Mark1 eyeball nav" so the nav side of the radio is not hooked up. One problem that I'd like some input on... radio has noise problem with "Rotax" motor running. Saw a wiring diagram for another radio that stated that you need a 22,000uf capacitor in series on the 12v feed - will this cut the noise????.
