There are small villages and single houses here and there but its anyway a long walk if you had an engine failure or run out of gas.. In the winter there are a lot of spots where to land but in the summer there are none except for forest roads. 

On floats it a different story but the glide ratio of the 701 limits its capability to reach the water without engine..

I often follow the water routes, lakes, rivers etc - just in case :)

I'll bet the smooth purring of the Rotax 912 keeps you as warm as the cabin heater. That is very isolated country your flying over... looks a lot like my part of Canada (North Eastern, Ontario)
