It seems that the extension piece is right there, between the fork and the tube, right? But it seems rather long, though. 

We also put an extension piece between the fork and the tube, it's a 40mm thick aluminum square block, milled hollow to reduce some weight. It provides some extra clearance and also increases the AoA a bit, which might help to develop the lift in take off easier.

Bruce's AoA seems quite high. It sure helps to get the plane airborne but how does it work in landing? I prefer using quite conservative angle of attack when landing on snow. 

The skis look good and the idea to use the belly radiator as cockpit heater is great!  We also had the belly radiator but removed it. Now, instead of moving the radiator inside the cowl, we could have built a similar system. Our solution to blow air through the muffler jacket works fine, anyway.

Good eyesight ! The nose tube is extended. I would have put the extension piece on the bottom of the tube between the fork and the gear tube. Extra prop clearence? Next time I'm talking to Bruce I'll ask him.
