this photo taken exactly a week before we flew in,(i did the tramp in there to make sure we could land safely) it was taken from the track around a quarter of the way in to the hut, try enlarging this shot as its quite dramatic in large format. and yes thats a dust of new snow on the tops, so much for summer!. this weekend (Easter) is the Woodbury fly in near here, i should get tome photos from that to post here,(being nearer the coast and lower altitude you might even get some greenery and trees in shot) , LOL.
