No, I never put a shim in. It seemed to come together and fit real well.

Hi Steve,

I'm currently putting together my stabilizer from plans (701 not 750).  Just wondering - where there's a gap between the ribs and the rear spar, where the centre of the rib is held out by the spar doublers, did you use shims for that 0.025" gap?
