Dreaming is a great thing, crazy aside. You're to be commended for allowing yourself to follow a dream - and you didn't allow the budget to stop you. There's always a way and you found one. (I waited so much longer.)
And your child(ren) get to see it and experience it too! It will make their lives richer as well, and they'll know that there's nothing Dad can't do or make (and it will probably rub off on them as well).

Thanks, it is alot of work. I envy the kit built guys when I get all the parts cut out and formed and then drilled and then I look at the parts and I think wow, if I had the kit, I would be here now! It is a good feeling to make airplane parts myself, but if my budget would permit, I would get the kit and I would be flying so much sooner. I can't wait till the day that I fly this airplane for the first time! I day dream so much about it, it almost drives me crazy!

You plans built folks are my idols. Having just started my 701, I have a huge appreciation for how much more work you've taken on.
