Congrats! Nothing compares to the first flight of one you built! And you are correct, Alaska is without a doubt a pilots dream. I've been flying up here since the late 70's and am still awed by the beauty. But you will have many hours of adventure within 50 miles or so...tons of little islands and off-airport places to explore. I have friends over in Lafayette and believe Mardi Gras is still the worlds greatest party! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
