Hi Blaine, That looks great! I am polishing my 750 also. I have polished my main gear also but it does not look near as good as yours. I started a polishing thread under open Forum. Several guys have polished and have given out lots of good info. Unfortunately is is spread all over this site and is very hard to search and find it all. Could you please post your photo(s) on the thread and your procedures on comments on that discussion thread? http://www.zenith.aero/forum/topics/polishing-your-airplane-tell-us... Thanks, Joe

Hi Frank, Thanks for your kind words. It is very difficult to remove all the "stretch marks" out of the gear from when it was formed. I used wet/dry sand paper starting with 220, the going to 500, 800, 1000 and 1200 on the flat areas. I used a file on the edges to make them smooth and then sandpaper. I used Nuvite polish starting with F7, then going to C and then S. I used a variable spped polisher / sander from harbor freight.  I only did the outside of the legs that shows. This took about 10 hours. I wish it was shiny like a mirror, but I need to get in the air someday! EAA has a good video on polishing.

Hi Blaine! That's Beautiful!  Could you tell us the procedure you used to achieve that shine?  I'd like to polish my gear also and can start polishing at any time.  Thanks!  Frank Pisz
