The Finnish summer is light and nice but short... The 24/7 daytime VFR is about to end. Photo taken at midnight - no more sunshine, just moonlight.

Unfortunately too little light for the camera although you could see well enough to justify it as daytime VFR.
A very "cool" picture :>)
In some of my photos you'll get a hint of the daylight here in the early December. 150km south of the Arctic Circle we do see the sun for a couple of hours so there is some day VFR. North of the AC there is no sun for a certain period.
Last winter I flew to a Fly-In event in March. It was -27C in the morning. With the electric heater you'll get the engine warm and wearing the "block heater" you keep the pilot from freezing :) Our 701 has a pretty good cabin heater. It takes warm air that flows around the muffler and keeps the cabin warm even in those temps, although the cabin is definetely not air tight, cool breeze blows in everywhere :)
17 hours of daylight is not bad either :)
Our 24/7 VFR conditions last only for about 2 months. Now we're fading into the darkness day by day. In the mid-winter its hardly any daytime VFR at all so basically we're grounded from Mid-November to Mid-February.
Not to mention the temperatures in the winter but I guess Norther Ontario is more or less the same, down to -30C or so. If you put too much grease in the joints and control cables the plane may become a bit stiff to control..
...and I thought we were lucky here in Northwestern Ontario with about 17 hours of daylight in the summer!!! :0 LOL
