Panasonic TZ1 Lumix camera.... makes me look better at picture taking than I am :>)

Small size fits in flight bag, console or pocket so it ends up "going flying" more than my older 35 MM type cameras. It goes hunting, fishing, ATV riding etc simply because it is so compact and easy to take with you. The 12.5X optical zoom works great at airshows.

Ari

This is a CH801 with 0-360 200 hp Lycombing. The nose wheel / ski is never on the ground very long. Straight skis work better than penetration or wheel combo skis.

I do not know about the 750 but at least my 701 has so much weight on the nose ski that I'm pretty sure such a small front "mini-ski" would not work in our snow conditions.  The main skis look great as well as the design.

Anyway, lightweight but powerful planes such as the 701 or the 750 probably work almost as well with fixed wheel skis. Perhaps not as well as with plain skis but these planes have plenty of take-off performance, enough to lose a bit without any problem in practice.

Those are hydraulic version built by http://aviationpg.com/ .

Requires 5 lb electric hydraulic tank / pump installed to operate skis. Same pump assembly used by Zenair in their amphibian floats.

Bob,

Are those the same skis that you sent me plans to build?  Great shot, by the way.  We just had our first snow and the runway is covered!

Ha, great shot!

Imagine ... here in Australia in winter we just wear a jacket but keep the shorts on but this really is beautiful to see!
