Ron, the flat gear is shorter take off from being more into ground effect, easier to fuel , and easier to enter / exit plane , but too low for some piers
Hello Bob what difference do you feel in flying with the high gear as opposed to the low flat bar gear?
Andre, yes this is number 3 my {hopefully last] new plane , I beanied the top and covered with smoked lexan , put stall fences, horizontal stabs, streamline struts ,more door bow[ 44 inch ], fish rod and gun tubes , behind dash survival gear , ring mount , tuned intake ,dual door latches , 4 point twist lock seat belts, elect horizon , in dash fuel switch valve , in dash head set plugs, cargo net , removable nose gear tube for floats ,multi position flap lever , heat wrapped all exh. system ,all aluminum fuel lines, bronze bushings on all pivots , NO paint, led strobes, top hinged ejectable doors, No brake system, No trim system , and it flys faster and steadier then any previous ones , thanks for asking ...BOB
