Finally got it installed...and yes, I had to sit in it, but - without making airplane noises!

I find it hard to believe that you didn't make airplane noises.
I am considering tack welding a nut in place for the next slider install on the pilot side. I would then use a bit of loctite on the bolt threads. Would certainly be a lot easier to put in position and tighten versus using a flat screwdriver as a wedge to keep the nut from turning!
I saw someone put a rivenut in place of the bolts on the sliding seat option, that way you don't have to put the nut and washer on using your wife's little hands.
