Andre, I cannot comment on whether mounting a gascolator in the stock position and rubber fuel lines are allowed in Canada because I took one look at those items on the 750 plans, covered my face in fear, and promptly designed a somewhat more conventional setup. My MD-RA inspector liked the 3/8" aluminum fuel line with AN fittings and the gascolator mounted solidly on the firewall. The low point drain comes out behind the pilot's side of the main landing gear and is cantilevered in such a way that if my low flying time buddy ever wipes out his landing gear, the drain should just popup into the belly rather than spilling fuel all over the crash scene.
As for your idea of a belly cargo pod, I'd be interested to see what you come up with. I'm flying my 701 and my buddy with his 750.

I mounted much the same gascolator at the lowest part of the fuel line run, behind the pax seat with just the drain valve nearly flush through a hole close to the right side.
Not sure about being told no rubber, Cessnas have rubber hose including the engine bay hose. An elder homebuilts tech officer once told me fuel lines must run from the tanks downhill to the lowest point drain then go uphill to the carb, which was easy to do with my gravity feed and no fuel pumps system

Hi guys!
I jusft finished a 3D design of a Belly/Cargo pod for the 701/750 and I was just about getting ready to Thermoform my prototype when it dawned on me that here in Canada the inspectors from Transport Canada will not allow the Gascolator to be installed as per the plan under the cabin. We NEED to install it on the firewall and NO rubber fuel lines can bu used (unless I just got a difficult inspector). My question is the following: because some buddies of mine have asked me to make them a Belly Pod at the same time as mine.. most Install that I see....most have installed the Gascolator under the cabin....NOT GOOD with my current desing of my Belly Pod. From different photos that I saw on this site...many builders elect to install the Gascolator at different places on the bottom of the fuselage(mostly under and inline with the Pilot's seat.
I will have to think about that one.....Thermoforming an another mold is NOT cheap...lol.
Thanks for any input you builders may have. I guess asking my friend to relocate his Gascolator may not be an option...hahaha
