At base getting ready for patrol. We had complaints that there have been a few non complaint with 14 FBCR. SS 4501 due to recent heavy snow in the Sierra. Understandable, but still a matter that has to be dealt with regardless of the conditions. Just a reminder.

14 FBCR. SS 4501
SS 4501 Enjoyment Mandated.
Enjoyment of Backcountry Flying is mandated as follows:
1. It is established that all persons, pilots, or passengers, in a “Backcountry”type aircraft flying over Federal or State areas that are considered “Backcountry” as defined in SS 131.4.13, shall be enjoying themselves immensely, as defined in SS 231.29.11.
2. Evidence of compliance shall be laughter, smiling, pointing out features to passengers,“selfies” etc. Further evidence of compliance accepted will be, upon landing, the sharing of photographs, texting positive comments about the flight, etc.
