James, is that a Warp Drive prop on your 0-200?

gentlemen; i assure you, the concrete blocks were temporary, while i cleaned the hanger, but thank you for your concern. just a bad choice of photo.

I came looking to find this picture after seeing it in the home page slide show. What got me looking were the masonry blocks used as "tie downs". Bob has already spotted and commented, and I have to ditto his remarks. The combined weight of those blocks would merely simulate a pilot sitting in the aircraft, and have absolutely no value what so ever in restraining or immobilizing the aircraft.
I think, the EAA just ran a piece, or it can be found on their website on making your own grass field portable stake down system. Or buy one of the many now on the market. Surely, your beautiful CH-750 is worth the 50 bucks or so that they would cost.

Very nice, congratulations to you!

Buy "The Claw" tie down system, its cheap insurance against wind damage. Those cement blocks won't hold a good size dog. I've seen an aircraft rolled up into a ball by a BIG wind... attached with the ropes from the wings to the two picnic tables the guy used to tie the aircraft down to. A 40 mph wind and there is at least 500lbs + lift generated. Nice CH750.
