Stu Duncan built & flies a CH701 (Rotax 912S). This morning Stu e-mailed he was coming to visit..."To check out this whole float mounting business". Stu has a set of 1150 CZAW amphib floats to install on his CH701 this summer. We took this picture to give a size reference to the known CH701. Stu's CH701 will be at least 20 inches taller when mounted on amphib floats...build your hangars at least 12 ft clearence... or more. Next project is to raise my entire hangar.

Start to finish to 16 hrs (I would be faster next time) and once your aircraft is hanging in the air you have to finish in order to put back on the ground. You measure (twice...cut once) the spreader bars and install the end fittings accordint to the drawings..no written instructions.
Absolutely gorgeous Bob!!! How did the actual install go? Any surprises?
Way to go, Bob! You're breaking trail again. Thanks!
When are you going to fly it? Hope soon!! Congratulations!
