The Viking Aircraft Engine was first developed in sunny and warm Edgewater, FL. For the past couple of weeks, Jan Eggenfellner and Viking pilot Vernon Knott, flew the Viking CH-750 to snowy New Hampshire to continue cold weather validation on the engine. Viking Aircraft Engines continuously strive to perfect the operation of their engine and this flight was part of this ongoing process.

Airplane is tipped back due to the light weight of the engine / heavy slushy snow on the large flat sections of the top fuselage. Also, no tires under the tail like the northerners learn to do. Trip was fantastic and engine started every time. We would get up at 2 am to get some minutes of 25F. It was the coldest we could get.
We learned a bunch on the trip and now have the ECU programmed where the engine could care less if it is summer or winter.

Snow is pretty "slushy" by the look of things, that would be a heat wave up here HA! How did all the testing go Jan?
why is it tipped back?
