Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Fuel tank sending units have been leak free for a week now, so took a big gulp and final fitted and clecoed the root skins in place after testing fuel senders and ground associated with them at my terminal blocks. Secured related wiring in the root skin cavity and ready to final rivet. Of course, I am out of A5 rivets, but have some on the way from Zenith! Note the lift tabs for hoisting the aircraft when swapping to floats or skis. Cutout in root skins will have a round rubber overlay with a slit for the tab. Plan on gluing them on with 1300L contact cement.

Dave, I notice your top windshield trim does not appear to have the 30mm notch cutout next to the wing root, per Zeniths builders guide. We cut ours but after clecoing to the windshield we see it just leaves a big hole in that area. Removing 30 mm seems excessive. Did you see the need to notch that area at all, and how much?
Thanks
Looking good David.
