I was kind of surprised also. I think my first weight might have been off a little. The last one was with a digital scale.

Congratulations on completing the "upgrade". I'm about 250 hours TT in type and 25 post modification. I really can't tell any real difference in flight characteristics either. Are you concerned about the differences between CAS and IAS? By the way, your airplane does look really good polished.

Everything flew just fine. I managed to stay pretty light. It only added about 14 pounds. I sure like the polished look. It would have been a lot easier to do in the beginning rather than after it was all together. But with the Mod I was able to polish while it was a part. Really didn't see any changes in flying characteristics. I did have a little rolling tendency. This was due to a misalignment of the flaps. I fixed that and she flies great.
I did one other mod. That was to move the pitot static tube out board and to use the one from Spruce. This had surprisingly little effect on the difference between CAS and IAS. I ended up with a new plumbing from Stein Air. Really the way to go. Looks good and no leaks. I still had more of an error between CAS and IAS. So I ended up with a new ASI. This helped a lot. I still read kind of fast at the high end. But much better.

Great to be back in the air. See you all at Airventure!
