Thanks Paul... I used a drill and snips on the first slat, took about 20 min to make the hole and 20 min to file. I used a air cut off tool on the second slat.. took less than 1 min to cut ( very straight and easy) and less than 3 min to file. Assemble the light and slide it in. I had to grind approx 1/2" off top and bottom of the lens to fit the assembly. Thing is, I spent hours trying to figure out how to mount the lens on the outside of slat so it could be removed for adjustment. Gave up and mounted it inside the way it was designed, now no adjustment.
Yeah, looks great!! I am curious to know how hard it is to install the landing light in the slat, in particular my biggest question is how to make the hole and mounting for it; I'm a total beginner at this stuff.
