This was my first experience welding aluminum this thin.
Needless to say it took a few try's to get used to it.
Not all TIG welders can be turned downed this low.

now how hard do you consider is to weld 4130 tubing ??

Ken: the tanks are .025" 6061-t6, I have recently welded .016 but not for anything structural... :)
Chris: the little portable welder I showed you won't do AC it is strictly a DC unit.
Also it doesn't have High Freq start it is a scratch start that takes a little getting used to.
