Zenith 1450 Amphib Float Gear
Here is the pre-drilled kit landing gear as supplied by Zenair, Midland. The front gear leg is pre-built / assembled as is the main gear assembly. The front gear has been re-designed "boxed in" for strength. The main gear 4130 parts need to be primed & painted. Tires are aviation grade from Aircraft Spruce. The rims are supplied by GROVE and brakes are included in the supplied package. All first quality parts.

My kit came up short on several types of rivets, and 3M Marine Sealant. An e-mail to Zenair, Midland brought a fast response and re-supply. No one at Zenair actually counts the rivets in the kit.Iit is done by weight and if the person doing the weighing has a bad day or forgets to match the calibration of the weigh scales to match type of rivet... an incorrect rivet count occurs. The modified front gear is a relatively recent change, I suspect real world field testing revealed a design weakness which has resulted in a change by Zenair.

Hi Bob, I purchased 1450 kit only nine months ago and am currently fixing extrusions to bulkheads. The kit is marked #2 and was supplied with the superseded rivets, unmodified nose gear amongst other things. I have been getting things changed as I become aware of them. Today I discovered there is insufficient ss-512 and ss-616 rivets, as only 300, and 16 respectively were provided.
I was wondering how old your kit is or what number it is?
